Liar

Lie? Never? Occa­si­o­nally per­haps a little white lie? But in any case it would be dif­fi­cult for most to reach the ave­rage of Donald Trump’s 4.6 lies a day, accor­ding to the count of The Was­hing­ton Post. Trump is a liar even though he does try to ful­fill his cam­paign pro­mi­ses, per­haps one of the few achi­e­ve­ments that can claim after six months in the pre­si­dency. His popu­la­rity has plum­me­ted and his efforts to obs­truct the inves­ti­ga­tion into the Rus­sian plot which hel­ped in his cam­paign are going the same way as the Nixon Water­gate scan­dal of four deca­des ago. The dif­fe­rence is that now everyt­hing is live and if 20% of Ame­ri­cans deman­ded Nixon’s impe­ach­ment, today, dou­ble that num­ber want the same for Trump.
